In addition, we will also be hosting a variety of workshops to help teach you strategies for improving the climate for LGBTQ people in the workplace.  

Workshops being presented:

  1. Trans 101 in the Workplace: Geared towards non-transgender people, this session will provide attendees with an understanding of trans* issues and best practices for working with transgender people.

  2. What you need to know to start a business. Presented by the UW-Madison Small Business Development Center
  1. The Value of an ERG: Presented by Jen Mahone, CDW. Successful Organizations understand that they must grow their people to grow the business. Employee Resource Groups are really business resource groups—they recruit talent, assist with mentoring and talent development, and help to build future leaders within the organizations. Learn new ways to ignite membership by identifying measurable value and critical takeaways..

  1. Domestic Partner Benefits and Employment Law: What you need to know. Presented by Tamara Packard, partner at Cullen Weston Pines & Bach LLP.

  2. Employee Resource Groups 102Local companies with ERGs share what successes they've had and ideas for further opportunity and growth.
