TRACK ONE: Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Employee Networks or Affinity Groups
Does your company have an LGBT employee resource group? Do you wish it did and want to help start one? Do you know how to gauge whether your company is ready to support such a group? Come learn how having one improves your workplace experience and network with some Madison-area companies who are expanding their focus on diversity by growing LGBT ERGs.
The first hour of this track will feature Jen Mahone, Inclusion Practices Specialist for CDW. The second hour will feature a panel discussion with representatives from Madison’s strongest LGBT ERGs as well as members of other diversity-based groups. Come away with tools to begin an Employee Resource Group or take your group to the next level.
TRACK TWO: Finding and Building a Mentor Relationship
Mentor relationships can frame everyday problems in a long-term, big-picture way. They can provide a dose of encouragement and an occasional nudge in the right direction.
Come learn about the benefits of working with a mentor and about the OPEN Mentoring Program Pilot. Complete an OPEN mentor / protégé interest form prior to the summit and meet your mentor or protégé at the big reveal.
