Networking can be a daunting process that often conjures up feelings ranging from uncomfortableness to anxiety to even downright fear.  We’ll look at this practice from a different perspective that focuses on connecting with others from our authentic selves.  Join us as we look at what networking is really about, some “how to’s” & tips to make this a genuine process, and an opportunity to put this all together to help you feel more comfortable (just simply) talking with others!

April McHugh has been working in higher education settings for over 15 years in counseling and advising capacities.  She currently works for UW-Madison’s Division of Continuing Studies as a Career and Educational Counselor serving community adults in the Dane County area.  She facilitates career planning workshops, UW’s weekly Job Search Support Group for professionals, and meets individually with those seeking more rewarding careers or are in transition and/or seeking additional education.  She has her Master’s in Guidance and Counseling, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Master Career Counselor (MCC).

Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available!
